Powerslave is their best, no doubt.
I like Piece of Mind, but for me, it just can't touch Powerslave, not by a long shot.

I am unable to pick my favorite Maiden album, as it changes from day to day. So I just group them...

Favorites:
Killers*
Number of the Beast
Piece of Mind
Live After Death

Great:
Iron Maiden
Powerslave
Somewhere in Time
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
Brave New World

Good:
Fear of the Dark
No Prayer for the Dying

Ok but I never listen to them:
Dance of Death
The Final Frontier

Has a few Good Songs:
Virtual XI
A Matter of Life and Death

Don't Like Any of it:
The X Factor

* 9 out of 10 times, I'd say Killers is my favorite.

As an aside, the only reason Fear of the Dark is in good is cause its got so much extra flab on it. Its got 12 songs, and 1/4 of them suck. I think the track list would have been better if it were something like this:

1. Be Quick or Be Dead
2. From Here to Eternity
3. Afraid to Shoot Strangers
4. Childhood's End
5. Wasting Love
6. The Fugitive
7. Judas Be My Guide
8. Fear of the Dark

and it'd probably sit in a higher category.

Seventh Son is my favorite personally, with Powerslave and NOTB right behind it.

The Di'Anno albums were good considering they were some of the first true NWOBHM albums, but IMO aren't on the same level as the stuff with Bruce (through the 80's, at least). But that's because i prefer their "epic metal" side to their punk attitude on the first two albums.
