Just picked up a DS Lite (I know, 5 years too late...) - what are some must-have games?

-Contra 4 (fucking amazing).

I was searching around for Final Fantasy 1 for DS, I thought I remembered seeing a port for it. Didn't find anything.

I played Zelda:Hourglass quite a bit, but eventually got stuck, and switched to Sudoku on Mind Games II.

I really enjoy the puzzle/mystery type games for it. Trace Memory was pretty fun, and I've heard Hotel Dusk or whatever it's called from the same people was also cool. Tetris DS is awesome, especially when you start playing multiplayer (online or in the room). Also the classics, like Mario Kart, Mario Party, etc. are all ported over very well.

Get Mario Kart DS The Final Fantasy III and IV remakes are pretty killer. Also the whole Pokémon series is awesome if you are into that sort of thing.

Also if you can find any of the Bit Generations GBA imports from Japan they all rule.
