Exactly what it says on the tin. Ironically, both of mine are from the same album, just different guitarists  I included the 'making of' clips incase none of you guys have listened to the Roadrunner United album.

Jeff talks a little in this one :/ You don't miss much.

My personal favorite.

Although I tend to like guys who's soloing tone is a bit more "outside" than what normally is going on in that genre. Which is probably also why I like Alex Lifeson's soloing tone during Rush's "keyboard-era". I'm weird like that

For me?

Brian May, David Gilmour, Mark Knopfler, Criss Oliva, Tom Scholz.

I'd look for vids, but you all know these guys, and I should really be doing homework instead

Allan Holdsworth: Wardenclyffe Tower (this whole track is glorious!).

No love for Andy Timmons?

Also, while I'm not generally a fan of neck humbucker lead tones, I think Drew Goddard from Karnivool really nails it in the song Deadman. It starts at about 4:45.

Can't get onto Youtube, but:

Joe Satriani - All Alone
John Petrucci - first G3 tour live tone, and to a lesser extent Suspended Animation
George Lynch - quite a lot, really, but Love Power From The Mamma Head is pretty awesome

And yeah, Andy Timmons' Resolution tone is pretty spectacular as well.

I've got to go with Frank Zappa as my alltime favorite tone guy. His tone in this solo is almost exactly what I'd love to achieve for myself.

Honorable mention goes to Eric Johnson's "High Landrons," which was a huge influence on me, with the way he has those dual flangers going.
