GALLERY: Randy Rhoads' Original Jackson Concorde Vs - Premier Guitar

This is a pretty cool slideshow of the Randy's two Vs.

The switch location on the white one is nutty.

Not much "up close" in terms of the pics. That article should be titled "Pictures of other dudes getting up close with Randy's guitars".

Since the website is slow as balls, here's some pics.
Awesome!
:metal:
I love the original - although my big gut would be swallowing that pick-up selector switch. I think my leg weighs more than Randy weighed.
I Dont like the White one that much.. But wasnt it the first one he had made for him though?

Yes.

If you've ever played an asymmetrical V with a trem, you'd know why Randy had them put it there.

to me it looks like he was just trying to get a good mix from a LP and a Strat with a Extreme shape

I don't think he did either - hence the black one.
The white "Concorde" reportedly weighed a ton. Clearly Randy didn't mind super heavy guitars that much (his white Custom was no featherweight either), but I'm sure the lighter weight of subsequent specimens was also a welcome improvement.

No, the friggin' bar is in the way of the pickup selector switch.

Ah I can see that
Complete with the strings probably from when he last played it
