Remove the .txt from the end of the file to import it. This will stop recording, delete the bad take from your hard drive entirely, and restart from the original point.

the reaper forums were a huge help to me when i first started using it. i have moved on but still have a couple of programs going in it. if it starts working correctly in 64 bit i'll probably start using it again.

In Pro Tools, this is achieved by pressing Command and "."

The real downside is getting out of the habit of using it, as I've accidentally deleted good takes from getting carried away with it :lol:
