First rate video! I didn't think any of the runs were over the top, really. I can see where you're (OP) coming from though.

I also see where Noodles is coming from with the Not Blues thing. He uses so many cool scales and modal ideas so frequently, yet his phrasing sounds like the notes should be based on pentatonics. He turned out to be a really interesting guitarist.

imo, dave put out so much GOOD stuff, that its ok he hasnt done much in a while. hes done more good thank a gazillion other people.
