About 2lbs of c4 should do the trick.
Must not have been a very good block!I tried using a sanding block and didn't get too flat a result. I resorted to a file and made progress far quicker and much flatter. :2cents:
My method as well.I tried using a sanding block and didn't get too flat a result. I resorted to a file and made progress far quicker and much flatter. :2cents:
I've noticed that most, if not all the fake floyd nuts are shorter. I think any aftermarket replacement would work, but I prefer the real floyd nuts. It's quite a bit that I've got to take off tbh. The nut that came with the guitar is much shorter in height than all other standard FR nuts that I've seen and own. I have no idea why it's so short, and why the route for it is subsequently so shallow, I can't imagine that it's a guitar-specific thing, however I can't find a replacement, so the guitar will have to have a standard height one fitted, but with some wood taken off. A good 2mm I'd say. I'll try all avenues but I think I'd prefer to do file > sanding block, and chisel as a last resort.
Yeah absolutely, that's exactly how I'd approach it too....If that makes any sense
