Hey everyone!

So I was playing one of my guitars today and one of the studs for the trem suddenly lifted up. I took everything apart to see what happened and found this:

Hopefully, it's clear from the image - there's a crack running out from the hole, that goes about halfway through the body's thickness. The stud is loose enough that I can easily pull it out with my fingers; as soon as there's any tension on the bridge, the stud lifts up.

What would be the best way to go about repairing this?

I have a similar problem on a Jackson sl3 I have. Not sure if mine has a crack but the insert lifts out. On mine I don't use the trem anymore and it doesn't move when the bridge is floating in tune, it does lift when I restring it though so I push it back level when I'm tuned up.
From what I've heard the best thing to do is to dowel the hole and redrill for the trem post. You could probably do something for the crack too to prevent it from happening again.
