So, I've got this ESP Synclair trem, and while it's TECHNICALLY in working order, some of the saddles are stripped and should be replaced, and there's no bar, and replacement bars are in the neighborhood of $30 from FOTN.
I could part out the trem or sell it whole for parts, and buy a Gotoh Floyd Rose, which is the way I'm leaning now, or I could get the replacement saddles I need to fix up the existing trem. Only issue with that is the replacement saddles are only available in Chrome, not black, and I still wouldn't have an arm.
All-told, restoring the trem would probably cost me somewhere in the realm of $50, and I'd have the original trem, but it would be an ugly mutt.
Buying a new trem is $140 for gold, and It'll be nice and shiny and stable.
What would you do?
