Yeah, Geezer's statement is heartbreaking. It's good to know that Ronnie was surrounded by so many friends and family at the end, though. I also hope that Wendy Dio is at least a little comforted by knowing how many people cared about her husband.

I was kind of hoping that Tony would say a little more, but then he's never really been a man of many words. Maybe in time he'll talk more about it.

Shit, I still haven't gotten over this. Other musicians' deaths have affected me in recent years, but nothing like this. It feels almost like a member of the family died.

I actually feel similar. And still - when i think that i'm somehow over it...and then read Geezers statement, i recognize that the wound is still open. Very intense words by Geezer, and indeed heartbreaking.

I cannot imagine how they, let alone Mrs. Wendy Dio, must feel if it already hits US, who didnt even know him personally, so hard...

I would love to see these assholes finally get what's coming to them. A veterans' group finally had to form a special "committee" of biker dudes to keep these creeps from disrupting funerals of soldiers killed in Iraq.

They are not even a real church--it's composed entirely of "Pastor" Fred Phelps and his various family members, almost all of whom are lawyers who are eager to sue anyone who gets in their way. The only reason they call themselves a "church" is so they can get a tax exemption. One very good reason to end the tax exemption for religious groups.

I wish I was truly judgment-proof. I'd love to go out there to the Dio memorial service and honor his memory--by whatever means necessary.
