One of the very first movies I remember seeing in the theaters. Still one of my favorite movies.

EDIT- I had no idea he'd done Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, as well.
The dude was a screenplay writing legend, yet the Princess Bride was the only one of his creations that he was legitimately afraid to bring to the screen, due to his personal attachment to the story. You owe it to yourself to read Carey Elwes' book, since it has tons of amazing incites into the making of that movie.
