So I've had this problem that my (ancient) Linksys router will allow everything through it other than streamed MOV files. I had my cable internet company on the line and they suggested I bypass the router and see if it works. It did. They then said I need to change some settings on my router, but couldn't tell me which ones.

I'd like to avoid buying a new router unless I have to, does anyone here know what to change in the Linksys settings or am I just SOL?

Weird.... What model is the router, and could you post screenshots of the settings? I use a Linksys WRT54G and I've never had any problems.

My university :agreed:

The first couple weeks the video assignments were in AVI format and were fine, now they're in streamable MOV and I can't download them, so my only option is to stream them.

I would post pics of the Linksys settings, but there are a ton of pages and I don't know where to start.

It's an old Linksys B router.
