Everyone has done it. Sold an instrument and kicked yourself in the ass for it every second since. So share with us what it was. I have 2 a fender fat strat with a arctic white maple neck Duncan blackouts and creame pick guard. The other was my Jeff hanneman signature esp

I still don't regret that I sold it because I prefer my current rig (which was 50% financed by its sale), but I do REALLY wish I still had this thing for a variety of reasons.

Boogies are great amps I'm using a mkII c+ right now
That RG1527, for sure. Best neck I've ever played on an Ibby, I just didn't like the DActivators and ended up selling before I got around to trying something else. I sold it to Chris, who sold it to a member here who sold it locally, I guess, and we now have no idea where it is. And both Chris and I are now kicking ourselves.

If anyone sees a blue 1527 with a "top secret" sticker behind the bridge, buy it.
Over the course of about 20 years, I've sold or traded numerous guitars (including three Gibson Les Pauls), amps, and pedals, and I haven't regretted anything. I've found that the existance of eBay makes it easy to let go of things because there is usually the ability to reacquire them if regret overwhelms you.
The Strypoverse. Ugh, needed $$$ badly at the time, but I really miss that one.

I miss Greenie the UV777GR, but the offer from the the guy I sold it to was just too good to pass up. If I was rolling in $$$, it'd still be here.
My Les Paul Studio. I didn't really think it was a great guitar, and it hardly got play because my Ibanez are way better, but it was sentimental.
1984 San Dimas Charvel Roundhorn V.
Are you sure it wasn't the lute you played before guitars were invented?
My Xiphos 7 which SOME cunt here has and won't sell.

I've been playing the shit out of it. It has pretty much rendered most of my other guitars obsolete. Donnie put some powerful mojo into it. If it's any consolation at all it's being treated like royalty at my house. Miss Fathead is only allowed to look directly at it every other Thursday :D

Never really experienced sellers regret because it's a rarity for me to unload something. Most of them have sentimental value in one way, shape, or form. Although the Hellraiser C-7 and Ibby ST300 are inching closer to the door.
2 spring to mind.

RG565 that I sold to Francesco. I'd only had it for a few months, and was trying to get funds to get the RGD2127z but I was already pretty close. Wish I'd held onto it and just saved up for another month.

Same story for when I sold my Mark V. I was getting my Axe-FX Standard and figured I could use the extra $$ from selling the Mark. It was nice to get the cash but in the long run it'd have been even nicer to have both rigs. Oh well. I'll score another someday.

I never sold anything that I regret but I really wish my Gibson SG studio didn't get stolen (or I had updated my insurance before it did). Was a really awesome playing instrument and tonally very different from my main player. I also had hand painted the front of it with a friend. Was the perfect backup/alt tuning gigging guitar.

I call 1st dibs if you do sell...
What was I thinking? :wallbash:
I can think of a few items...
PRS EG blueburst, the one with the Fralin pickups...
Peavey Ultra (although another one of those wouldn't be too hard to come by)
Gibson Goldtone GA30RVH...
and my VHT Fatbottom 4x12...
A custom shop dean I picked up for 300 quid. Really nice guitar. Had a whale-tail type FR though and it was smaller than a normal superstrat, so the gap between the bottom of the neck and the lower horn cramped my hand up at the time.

I play with different (better) technique now and could have replaced the trem. It was otherwise a fantastic guitar.
Traded one of these to fund my Taylor. It was really nothing special......and a FAR cry from the Taylor but..... I didn't get enough for it in trade and there have been times I would have liked the electronics for the few gigs I have played since.

I regretted the trade almost immediately when a couple of other customers in the store started drooling over it and the sales clerk said they'd have to wait a couple of weeks for it to clear. If it hadn't been a two hour drive to return and reclaim it I would have.

Still really don't understand why but I do miss it.

I cried for you, Darren. I'm still a rookie gear trafficker, but this December I sold my '72 Tele Thinline Semihollow Reissue(the longer the name, better the tone.) I needed Christmas gifts to make my family happy as opposed to a guitar I didn't *need*. I also hate josh for not buying it. But he's gonna sell me his SLSMG one day so we're cool. :yesway: the rest of my gear had a reason to be gone.
