Hello everyone, its been a while since ive been on this forum but I thought id ask if anyone knows anything about these Shiro Les Paul Copies.

Musical instrument Guitar Guitar accessory Musical instrument accessory String instrument accessory

I being an idiot only took one picture.

Ok so I found this at an EZ Pawn near me for $200 and didnt think much of it until I did a little research, all I found were a few for sale and very little info; Apparently they were made by Aria in the 70's and 80's for their Asian market and the pickups are Dimarzios (the toggle switch is for coil tapping). So I was wondering if anyone had any more info on them, it is a bolt on neck and is the same model as this https://reverb.com/item/230152-shiro-early-80s-les-paul-mij.

Thanks

It's not a straight-up Les Paul copy, obviously. It looks like some of the guitars that were marketed under the Aria name in the USA in the '80s. Since it's a bolt-on, I'd guess that $200 is probably pretty close to the ballpark on these.

Tap the top to make sure it's solid before buying, some of the 80s copies are hollow under the arch.

If that. Some of the Matsumoku-made Arias were incredible (like a lot of the Thor sound stuff) while others are mediocre to absolutely awful.
