Okay guys, so I've had my Korean PRS SE Custom 24 for a few months now and while it seems most don't seem to care for the 85/15 S pickups, I actually quite like them. I think they have my desired output overall, and I'm wondering, what aftermarket pickups have a similar level of output? The way I can describe my tone from these is thick lead tone, and a good bottom end on the lower strings even though I'm in standard. Are the medium or low output or some such and if so, what pickups by other manufacturers have these characteristics?

The only way you will get the same attack to the notes is going active or getting a very specialised custom wound pickup.

You can definitely get thick lead tones and good bottom end but a completely different feel & typically noisier too/

If you like them, why change them?

Looking at some google results, they seem to be PAF-like pickups so perhaps some other PAF would work? Based on this chart they're medium output.

Two reasons.

1.) They're not always easy to find.

2.) The pickup I have now is getting microphonic. Done a tube test, nope. Pickup is microphonic, so I want something similar seeing as I have to replace it.
