The honest truth of it is this: When I originally started, I built a couple of guitars in 25.5 inch scale length and re-measured repeatedly because I always second guessed myself reading 12.75 off my ruler. I managed to screw one up in the beginning because i measured 12.50 instead :scream::scream:. After that, I decided that I would just use 26 inch scales because they were easier to measure at 13 inches and I could squeeze the 25th fret in there without it looking strange.Looks very nice Brian :yesway:
Why the 26" scale though? Something a bit longer to give more string tension, but not different enough to feel weird to guys used to 25.5" scales?
There's definitely no mojo, scale tension or any other reason besides it was easier to measure.
