... and it never even makes it into one of Dave's guitars. :lol:

I had needed to change out the bridge pickup in my Jackson Dinky for a while, since the JB wasn't cutting it for the cover band - it was fine when I was playing metal with the guitar, but it wasn't doing the low-gain thing too well.

So, a few weeks back, I installed it. HOLY SHIT! The guitar now sings without being gritty, and single-note lines just jump out at you. Wolfe says it's his take on the JB, but it really sounds (based on the one time I've played one) like a lower-output Suhr Aldrich to me.

I love his rewinds. My next guitar will have real Wolfe's :yesway:

I have only ever heard the Wolfe rewind of a JB... which still sounds more or less like a JB. :puke:

I'd like to hear some of this other pickups though, as they seem to be fairly popular around here.

Hmm. Sounds like Dave and I need to take our respective 6 strings to Matt's house...
