....and I can honestly say that I've never heard a louder pickup in my life. Like Kramer quadrails dont have shit on this thing. I can't really see a chordal use for output this high, but for leads it's pretty insane.

An unexpected useful tone is the humbucker in normal mode, and the third "coil" in parallel, rather than series. That sound is actually smooth as shit. I can see using that quite a bit. Has that Kee Marcello lead sound.

Overall, this guitar is killer. I know that construction techniques have improved over the years with Ibanez, but I can't help but think they lost something that made thier much older instruments much more interesting.

I love the sound of the middle single coil with a bridge humbucker so I can see how the third coil in parallel with the humbcker would be a great sound.

Sweet score. :yesway:

This guitar is strangely addictive. I don't really want to like it this much. It's kinda like looking at a hot chick with hairy armpits and going "yeah!" or something. Uncooth, possibly unwashed, might describe it.

Pickup(s), a few days into owning it/them, is/are still full-on whatever that wierd Carp that jumps out of rivers, into boats, and smacks-folks-on-the-head-kinda vibe. The big silver flying mufuggas.

The neck is unlike any Ibanez I can remember. Not even remotely RG or Jem-like, it's almost Fendery meets "Make-special-wonton-for-you-roundeye".

Neighbor came over again today with a rather weighted ziplock. Objects in said bag were larger than your freaking thumb. All of them. It was crazy.
