Follow the Reaper, in my opinion, is Children of Bodom's second best album after Hatebreeder (which I think is slightly better than Follow the Reaper). Hate Crew Deathroll is a great album for the most part. Are You Dead Yet? is a pretty good album, but significantly inferior to every album before it. I never listened to any albums after AYDY, so I can't comment on them.
Although I'm surprised there's been no mentioned of "Something Wild" yet even if it is just Alexi's attempt at being Malmsteen  I still really enjoy that album
Don't care love this album. I openly admit it is a streamlined style, but it is a streamlined style of a wanky band, thus still blowing my fifteen year old mind at the time.
AYDY? is 50/50 for me since it was one of the handful of times I met the band, and there's nostalgia that goes along with it but there are a handful of just "eh" songs and only few that I think "Oh yeah this is Children of Bodom"
