Tell me about iPod Touches

I just got one at a great deal (co-worker won one and sold it to me). It's a 3rd generation so no camera :( Oh well, I'm getting a camera for xmas.

Anyway, I'm upgrading from a 1G iPod Shuffle which I've been very loyal to for the past 2-3(?) years since it's kept my sanity in check for my 45+ mile commute to work and back.

Soooooo I'm totally unfamiliar with the cool things it could do besides it having a lot more space for music.

Any recommendations? Games? Apps?

Jailbreak it, and throw on SNES/NES/Genesis emulators.
Jailbreaking it is worth it if you want the game emulators, not so much if you don't.

I'm not bothering on my new iPT4, because I don't game often enough beyond what's already available in the app store.

I'm doing a list of apps I use and like on the iPT as well as iPad, so I will link that up when I'm done.
I have a 2nd gen one. the battery life sucks if you play a lot of games or watch a lot of video but listening to music doesnt seem to hard on the battery.

yeah my wife had the 2nd gen, and it was worse on battery life than my 1st gen, and not as good as my 4th gen either.
Yeah, the emulators are a must. I think Plants vs. Zombies is a given.
I have a first gen one (no speaker) and my wife has a 2nd gen one (with speaker) and they are fun.

We used the wifi quite often. My wifi shit the bed tho :noway: So I havent used mine in months.
