I notice we don't have one, so I feel inclined to start one (read: Get all your ideas)

This is the filter I've been using, and I haven't found anything that works better for me yet (That's free, at any rate)

Engineers Filter Download. Free VST, AU, DX, RTAS Plugins

What else you guys got? Any recommendations for a good EQ?

Excellent initiative!

I'm using a free bass vst from steinberg called vb-1 (google it for download). I have nothing to compare with so I really don't know if it's good. Anyone tried it, any better (free) replacements?

I don't know what's better, though, using VSTs/other plugins for modifying tracks, or running the dry track through an outboard fx loop (G-Major, etc)
