Yep.

However, there are new apps for the iPad, and some of the existing apps (iTunes, Safari etc.) have been expanded to make better use of all that screen real estate. The screen looks really nice in person.

I think they're a little too expensive even on this side of the pond, however.

For that kind of money, I'd rather just get an 11" laptop and have full computer functionality.

The idea behind the iPad isn't for computer functionality, its for quick net functionality and eBooks. I've said a few times, the moment the Pearson Vue set of books gets to the iPad (especially the Cisco Press ones), I'll buy it asap.

If, when the multitasking is implemented in OS 4.0, I can read books on it, make notes on them, and then lab out scenarios all on the same device....it's paid for itself tenfold.
