Not really a good idea, need to let the glue settle and the wood get used to being glued up... I built the CrabClaw in around 2 weeks and, well, there were issues with it that never wound up on the Internet, finish settling into glue seams, the finish matching the texture of the flamed maple, etc. I wouldn't do that ever again.

This was the first time he built a guitar in a week, he did it to challenge himself basically. I understand where you are coming from Adam and I hope this guitar came out fine.

Not surprised by the price. Its got a big brazzy neck and a blackwood board. Not saying anything about it being worth it one way or the other, just that its unsurprising.

It's really not a worthy challenge, the end doesn't justify the means from a quality standpoint IMO. There are a lot of hours in a week, it can be done. Though if he were to use a hard finish there's no way it'd be done in a week.

Personally, I dont think that theres anything wrong with building a guitar in a week. I wouldnt worry about glueing as long as the wood has been aclimated to the area hes in. Personally I think the guitar is beautiful, and its apperent its high quality cuts of wood and appears to be great craftsmenship.

As adam said, If it were a hard finish, surely it would take more than a week.

his is being worked on but I don't think vik is doing build threads for the Saviour run and I imagine he's doing those guitars in stages or something like that. I have a good wait to go for my hollowbody.

His site is pretty much the ultimate guitar porn. I'd totally love to have that one-piece guitar he makes (the entire guitar is a single piece of wood). Not that I could remotely afford it.
