WTF?


These guys used to be cool emo nu-metal. They had catchy riffs and a unique sound, even if they helped spawn a generation of hacks. Now they're boring electronica?

I heard this on the radio a couple weeks ago. I was actually kind of impressed at just how awful it was.

It's just so... like, post-nu metal-techno. Like, back when that really really bubblegum, trance, happy hardcore euro-pop thing was becoming popular here. Just yuck.

OK, fine, the coolest emo nu-metal that ever existed. :p

Simply put, they had catchy riffs, a fresh sound, an interesting blend of electronics into a stale genre, and Meteora was a hell of a sophomore release. Maybe it had something to do with me being 19 when it came out, but I dug it. I find the lyrics nothing short of whiny any more, but it was well-crafted music.
