Well, you're close but I'd say it's more to do with the fact that complaining on the internet and sounding really upset about it scores you e-points and that's all anyone cares about these days. I'm probably dating myself here but isn't that what Cyclamen did? A bunch of hired guns and even stole riffs from old Bulb demos? I might be mixing him up with someone else.
