On a serious note, any ideas how to rectify the situation with minimal damage to the bridge?

Seriously, though. If you pop the bridge off, I think there's enough access in the arm holder to pop out the remaining stub. Then just buy a new arm.

Get a pin, and depending on the year you should be able to push out from the trem cavity side - there's a small hole on some Lo-Pro/Edge-Pro holders. never worked on a double edge though, may be different.

Failing that, Dremel time!
