:agreed:

So, after I installed Win2K, I decided that I wanted to watch a movie I had on my 250g drive, which is formatted ext3. I pop in the Linux Mint disc, and it says it can install right there in winblows. I did. It's FINALLY running. And, it's not too shabby.

Big plus, I'm running my favorite music player again :yesway:

Wow, XMMS is still around? I remember using it back when I first started using Linux, several years ago. I later switched to Amarok, after it became reasonably stable. These days I'm using Exaile, which offers a nice compromise between simplicity and more advanced features such as music collection handling and album cover fetching.

I gave Amarok2 another chance yesterday, but there's an annoying problem that makes it refuse to play anything after you stop a song or it finishes. :(

Foobar looks pretty cool, haven't tried that one. I tried Amarok, XMMS2, Audacious, and they were all just more than what I needed, and took more resources than I was willing to let go of.

XMMS does two things: plays mp3's, and does it lightly :yesway:
