Wow, XMMS is still around? I remember using it back when I first started using Linux, several years ago. I later switched to Amarok, after it became reasonably stable. These days I'm using Exaile, which offers a nice compromise between simplicity and more advanced features such as music collection handling and album cover fetching.
I gave Amarok2 another chance yesterday, but there's an annoying problem that makes it refuse to play anything after you stop a song or it finishes.
