I wonder if that would sound like a cello? Certainly a different frequency response with piezos.

Color me curious.

I do kind of agree on the gold hardware though. That'd look killer on the rosewood neck.

Piezo + sustainer would be cool, but it's a lot of crazy wiring. However, Alan Hoover could help figure it out for ya. I doubt it would sound very cello-like, but "Arriving Somewhere..." by Porcupine Tree has some Ebowed acoustic parts on it... I would imagine it'd sound more like that.

Gold hardware would look sharp. I'd still like to try the Babicz bridge... Too bad there's no piezo solution for it.

Wouldn't be too bad if you drive the sustainer off a magnetic pickup

It's probably easiest to drive the sustainer with the magnetic bridge pickup and just run the piezo to the output, either via a switch or one of my blend pedals. :D

purpleheart neck with inlayless ebony board
reversed carvin style headstock
