This should shut all the haters up. I didn't even know jackson made guitars in this color

It's a '99 KV3. Got the guitar with the Jackson HSC for $220. Assuming the case costs $150 new (and I have more than one KV without a case), that's the guitar for $70 :agreed:

slapped the maple neck with gold hardware on this one, the original neck and trem are going on my black KV body, which will just be black and gray.

Don't know about pickups in this one, though. Gonna keep it passive, I'm sick of rewiring guitars for the moment. Alder body, so maybe a Suhr Aldrich in the bridge? I've been looking for an excuse to try one of those out.

yeah, I know. the original hardware is a matte nickel, which is also pretty cool. Trust me, it's gold now :agreed:

These lower-end Japanese Jacksons (also charvels) are some of my favorite guitars, because the parts are all cheap, they play fantastically, and they're built extremely solid. As much as I'd like a USA Jackson or even a Pro, I wouldn't feel comfortable hacking them up to the degree I like to.

what, the gold hardware+neck or the original? I have a Rhoads EX that I could use the body from, but I prefer the KV shape. one of my friends already has a monopoly on the Rhoads shape for his guitars, too.

I felt myself gravitation towards handles and goofy Shit like that on black guitars, so I had to break those thought patterns.
