The two combos I'm leaning towards are a Tone Zone bridge/Air Norton S neck single (although I really don't want a blade pickup...any other suggestions are gratefully received) or a Bareknuckle Nailbomb bridge with a bkp single; but I have no idea what to go for.
You all know what sort of crap I play on guitar for the humbucker. The single coil is where I am stuck; I'm looking for something that has enough crispness and tightness for two handed tapping, but with the tone control backed off will give me a nice warm clean for fingerpicking and soft chords.
Bear in mind the single will be running through a 500k volume pot. I think I want something pretty contemporary for the neck for the required tightness and midrange, perhaps even something ceramic...
