Joy. A revolutionary invention for guitars with at least one less string than my usual live guitars. :lol:

 

It's got chromatic mode, so tune all 6 and then the 7th. Would still be a bit quicker, which would help me in a live situation since 80% of venues want to rush you to basically throw everything on stage and play.

 

Accuracy is +/- 1 cent... not bad, but not great.

Boss also updated the TU pedal tuner. The new TU-3 is also now +/- 1 cent, which is a huge improvement over the TU-2's +/- 3 cents, which i found completely unusable.

 

My thought is this: cool gizmo, but I still can only pay attention to one string, and can only turn one tuning peg at a time, so I have to tune one string at a time anyway. If you can't hear which strings are out of tune on your own after playing a few chords, time to go back to the woodshed

 

I think it's a great idea for on stage, so instead of having to check each string, just strum once, and it'll quickly show you the ones that need attention.

 

Despite the arguable usefulness of it, the programming behind it can not have been easy.
