Charvel Truss Rod Mod

My tech finished up working on spoke wheels truss rod mods on my Charvels. He has them worked out for each of the styles and if anyone is looking to do this mod to their Charvel he has pics and instructions along with the spoke wheel for a specific model. Each model was a little different in the size of the spoke wheel and what needs to be done to the body. But it makes setting up these guitars a metric shit ton easier.

They look much better than that huge notch that FMC does to the neck overhang to make the spoke wheel fit correctly.

They are hot. He did other little things like shave the neck pockets, the neck joint, counter sunk the holes a little on the neck and just trued everything up much better than the stock. It made a world of difference in how they feel when you play them acoustically.

The reason I had him do it is because the StewMac spoke wheels dont fit right unless you hack the neck and do that notch like Charvel does on the Custom Shop models.

If they're not the StewMac spoke wheels, where did he source an alternate solution? I've been looking for ages, and haven't found anything.

He milled them himself. I bought a couple from StewMac and gave them to him, they didnt work so he milled his own.

I have some close up pics to post soon. I keep forgetting. He did a stellar job with making sure it fit well with taking a little wood as possible out when he needed to.
