Well, since I am new here, I figure I should get into actively talking with my fellow forum mates, and what better way to do that than to start a discussion.
I love metal music, but lately all I am finding is the screaming "cookie monster vocals" which I am not real big on. I do find many of these screaming bands' music quite good, there is some amazing musical talent there, but personally the vocals kill it for me. Don't get me wrong, I can put up with some screaming. I do like Five Finger Death Punch quite a bit, the singing is great, and the screaming is not constant and is a little less overwhelming than a lot of the other bands.
I love late 80's/early 90's hair metal (a guilty pleasure, but a favorite nonetheless!) and love me some Metallica, Megadeth, Disturbed, etc. I have recently found myself becoming a big fan of Adrenaline Mob too.
I'm hoping for some good suggestions for some good non-screaming metal bands. I'm always looking to find more good hard rock/metal bands to listen to, especially clean vocal ones. Anyone got some good recommendations?
