I wouldn't worry too much about matching the output - I have a 18.xK A8 bridge pickup and 8.5K A5 neck pickup in my PRS SE, the tone changes but the volumes do not.

I love Bartolini pickups, and have them in a few guitars. I don't have any of the PBFs though, but I would buy them in a heartbeat. They are quiet, superbly articulate, and all good things.

Here's my Jem with them - this guitar can cop straight jazz or fusion effortlessly now. The warmth that is completely absent from the EVOs is all over this instrument, and it still rocks like a bastard on fire.
